DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

• Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 5 March 1974. 
• Mongolia opened its Embassy in Bangkok in February 2000.
• Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing concurrently accredited to Mongolia as a non-resident diplomatic mission.
• H.E. Mr. Tumur Amarsanaa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Thailand, presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on 26 October 2020.

BILATERAL DIALOGUE MECHANISM:

The First Meeting of the Consultative Body on Bilateral Cooperation between Mongolia and Thailand was held on 6 September 2018. The First Meeting was headed by H.E. Mr. Davaasuren Damdinsuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

Parliamentarian Group:

Mongolia: Hon. MP Mr.Khayangaa Bolorchuluun is the Chairman of the Mongolia-Thailand Parliamentary group at the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia. 
Thailand: Hon. Senator Mr. Anusak Konglamai is the President of the Executive Committee of the Thailand-Mongolia Parliamentarians Friendship Group.
