NYAMBAATAR APPOINTED AS GOVERNOR OF THE CAPITAL AND MAYOR OF ULAANBAATAR

Nyambaatar Khishgee former Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs was appointed as Governor of the Capital City and the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar. In adherence to the Mongolian Law on Administrative and Territorial Units and Their Governance, the Citizens Representative Khural of the Capital discussed the candidacy of Mr. Nyambaatar yesterday and 78.57 percent of the representatives of the Khural voted for Nyambaatar. Having expressed his willingness to serve until the end of the term of office as Governor of the Capital City, Kh. Nyambaatar stressed the need to get prepared for the winter season, approve the capital's budget for the next year, and enhance the implementation of the Government’s Anti-Corruption Programs. Prime Minister of Mongolia L. Oyun-Erdene handed over the decree on the appointment of Kh. Nyambaator as Governor of the Capital City and the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar and the seal of Governor and Mayor and wished him success in his new role. Also, the Prime Minister addressed the representatives of the Citizens Representative Khural of the capital and gave directions to the Capital’s new leadership.
