On 16 May 2023, His Excellency Mr. ANKHBAYAR Nyamdorj, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. VIJAVAT Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, during his visit to the Kingdom of Thailand to attend the 79th Session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

Both sides reaffirmed shared commitments to strengthen further Mongolia-Thailand ties, especially in trade, investment, tourism and culture. They also discussed the preparation of the Second Meeting of the Consultative Body on Bilateral Cooperation between Mongolia and Thailand. Also, they exchanged views on commemorating the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2024.
