MONGOLIAN SOLDIERS FINISH RUNNER-UP IN PACIFIC MILITARY COMPETITION

The “Pacific Land Forces Team Readiness Challenge” international competition for military non-commissioned officers was held for the first time in the Pacific region, with Mongolian servicemen finishing as runners-up.

The competition took place on Oahu in Hawaii and brought together military personnel from nine countries — Mongolia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Fiji, New Zealand, the Philippines, and Singapore. Participants competed in some of the most demanding physical and psychological military challenges.

According to the final results, the team from the United Kingdom placed first, while the Mongolian Armed Forces team finished second.

In addition to securing second place among teams from eight other countries, Mongolian ranger and drill instructor Mungunshagai A., who served as team leader, was named the competition’s “Best Squad Leader.”

The Mongolian team included drill instructor Mungunshagai A., senior sergeants Baldorj V., Baatar L., Bagabandi G., Zorigt Ts., and sergeant Gandavaa M.

During the award ceremony, organizers highlighted the Mongolians’ natural warrior spirit and specifically praised the Mongolian team’s outstanding teamwork.
